Dr. Emma Dekker-Zangari

GP (MD)

Past experience:
Emma graduated from the University of Notre Dame (Fremantle) in 2023 and has since gained valuable clinical experience working across rural Western Australia as well as at Midland Hospital. These roles have given her broad exposure across a range of medical presentations and strengthened her commitment to providing high-quality general practice care.

What I enjoy about being a GP:
Emma enjoys the variety that general practice brings and is passionate about building long-term relationships with her patients. She values the continuity of care that general practice allows and aims to support patients in achieving their best health outcomes over time.

Special Interests:
Emma’s areas of interest include all aspects of general practice, with a particular focus on preventative and lifestyle medicine, women’s health, and children’s health. She is especially motivated by supporting patients in proactive health management and wellbeing.

Personal interests:
Outside of work, Emma enjoys spending time in the garden, growing food and experimenting with sustainable living. She loves cooking with seasonal produce, hiking in the local bush, and spending time outdoors. Having grown up helping her father on his olive farm — harvesting olives to produce extra virgin olive oil — Emma developed a strong appreciation for gardening, ecology, and environmental conservation, interests she continues to pursue today.
